As Amy said, this is just the start of our effort. It will be ongoing, providing a way to battle grief and encourage those fighting the good fight. Let us know if you or your family need anything!!Teshahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15445333414595419353noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5828271717857059113.post-53170845458089014782012-12-07T05:44:56.712-08:002012-12-07T05:44:56.712-08:00Oh, Kathy, I am so sorry to hear about your daught...Oh, Kathy, I am so sorry to hear about your daughter. It is impossible to even try to describe how awful cancer is, and it is an outrage to see how it can take someone so young.

And your husband...I am just so sorry. If you ever want to email me, feel free to use my email address from this site. I'd be interested to know what kind of treatment he is undergoing now, and who he has worked with.

Did you find us from the MCC google group? Or from facebook? If you're on the google group, I know you're getting lots of information already.

We'd love to have you as a member of the team! Team Yarn is an ongoing thing. So, whenever you can send items our way, we'll add them to box for that month's donations. (My husband is a high school teacher, too. So, I get how it is to have no time! If you're not too far away, perhaps you want to meet up with us sometime in the summer.)

Please accept my prayers for you and your family also. My heart is heavy for you.
~AmyAmyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06924784279928092348noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5828271717857059113.post-43007061273453910022012-12-06T18:56:57.491-08:002012-12-06T18:56:57.491-08:00Hello Amy,
I read with great sadness your posting ...Hello Amy,
I read with great sadness your posting about your mother's passing. At 57, she was far too young and I am certain that she has left a huge void in your family. These heinous rare cancers need to be the subject of research yet I know from experience that the cancers that are most prevalent get the most attention for fund raising for research. This is logical and I do not intend to make any cancer seem "run of the mill". Cancer is horrible, it is an enemy that strikes without reason and needs to be eradicated. We lost our daughter at age 28, last year to Ocular Melanoma and then 4 months later my husband was diagnosed with MCC, now stage 4.
I would like to contribute to your Team Yarn. I am not a knitter but my mom is and she would be delighted to contribute, I can't make your meeting in Minnesota because I will be working (I teach high school students with learning differences). Please count me in as a member of your team.
Again, please accept my thoughts and prayers for your mom.
Kathy KopeckyAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16052399239624900310noreply@blogger.com
